Casey started working at Burleigh Road Animal Hospital in July of 2016. She received her degree in Human Services and has worked in the customer service industry for the past 8 years. She decided she wanted to be in this field due to her love of animals. Casey and her boyfriend have 2 cats together named Carlton and Biggie. In her spare time she enjoys baking, reading and doing DIY projects.
Kassondra started working at Burleigh Road Animal Hospital in December of 2016. She has worked in the customer service industry for 4 years. She decided when she was young that she had a passion for helping animals and wanted to care for them as a career. Kassondra and her boyfriend have a cat together named Khoshehk (pronounced caw-sheck) and two ball pythons named Salazar and Morrigan. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling.
Jennie joined our team in April 2008. She has a passion for animals and their well being. She has three cats and one dog. Jennie’s passion is being a hands on mom to her two sweet (and rambunctious) little boys. She enjoys cooking, baking, and anything Disney.
Customer Service Representative
Julia joined Burleigh Road Animal Hospital in May 1998. She graduated from Madison Area Technical College Veterinary Technician School in 2004.
Julia enjoys working here because she loves animals and medicine and combining these two is the perfect match. She enjoys baking, international travel, and spending time with her family
Sarah graduated from Madison Area Technical College Veterinary Technician School in May 2013. Shortly after graduation she joined our team. She has always had a passion for animals and could not imagine a career that did not involve caring for them.
Sarah grew up near Detroit, Michigan where her family had many animals including horses, rabbits, budgies, chickens, and of course dogs and cats. In her spare time she volunteers at Elmbrook Humane Society walking dogs.
She also enjoys spending time outdoors, painting, cooking, watching football, and spending time with her family. She lives with her boyfriend and their furry family which consists of two dogs named Conrad and Olive and a cat named Lance.
Certified Veterinary Technician
Cassi has been a member of our team since June of 2014. She has spent most of her life in the company of animals – from the menagerie of beloved pets she has at home to her various paid and volunteer positions working in wildlife rescue, llama farms, and grooming parlors.
Currently she is working towards her Veterinary Technician Certification, and lives with her beloved dog Nikita, and polydactyl (extra-toed) cat Lua.
Jessica joined our team in July 2012. She is currently working toward her degree in veterinary technology and has her master’s degree in educational psychology. She has always had a passion for animals and learned how to care for them early on from her grandpa who was a zookeeper.
Jessica hopes to follow in his footsteps and care for animals as a life-long career. She spends her free time volunteering at a local parrot rescue where she cares for and rehabilitates parrots in order to find them permanent, loving homes.
Currently, she shares her home with her dog, cat and four amazing parrots. You can read more about Jessica and her love of animals in her book “Life with Ben: A Story of Friendship and Feathers.”
Before joining Burleigh Road Animal Hospital in April of 2017, Mary had a successful career of over 30 years in the automotive industry. With a gentle nudge from her husband, she enrolled in Milwaukee Career College. In May of 2017, she graduated with highest honors from the Veterinary Assistant Program. This new chapter of her life is truly a dream come true. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband and their fur babies, Ava, a Papillon, and the newest addition, Poppy, a Hunt Terrier. Cooking, hiking, knitting and working out are some of her hobbies.
Guinness has been a part of Burleigh Road Animal Hospital since 2015. He is the Chief Mischief-Maker at the animal hospital and he takes his job very seriously! You may not see him very often since he is very busy behind the scenes. His primary responsibilites include: keeping the copier warm, knocking his food on the ground and spreading his black fur over as many surfaces as possible! Next time you stop in for a visit with one of our veterinarians or to pick up medication or food, ask to meet him!
Brittany joined our team in June 2015. She graduated from Carroll University in May 2017 with a four-year degree in animal behavior. She received her dog trainer certification in April 2017 from the Certification of Professional Dog Trainers. Additionally, she is working towards her behavior consultant certification.
Brittany has always had a love for animals and is an avid horseback rider. When she is not at work, she is at home spending time with her dog Clay or her two cats, Atticus and Cali.
Brittany is also one of our six Fear Free Certified team members!
