Dr. Ben is homegrown- born and raised in Greendale, WI!  He attended New Mexico State University for his bachelor’s degree in animal science with a minor in biochemistry. He started volunteering as a veterinary assistant during his undergraduate years and graduated from veterinary school in 2011 at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine located on a small island in the Caribbean called St. Kitts.

Dr. Ben always knew that he wanted to come back to his “homeland” once he graduated and became a general practitioner. He always enjoys meeting you and your four-legged family members and thrives on giving them the best care possible.

In his personal time, Dr. Ben enjoys spending quality time with his wife and 3 active children. He also loves playing golf, going to the movies, and watching sports.  He is a HUGE Packers and Badgers fan!

She is part of the original Norwood Animal Clinic team having joined there shortly after graduation and continues here at Burleigh Road after the Norwood team merged with us.

LiSA
Certified Veterinary Technician

Originally from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, LiSA moved to Milwaukee in 2011 to start her career in Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2009.   Shortly after graduation, she started school to become a Certified Veterinary Technican. After becoming licensed, she dove right in and started at a veterinary emergency clinic and has also worked in urgent care, research, and general practice.

Her favorite thing to do is to educate clients on a variety of topics such as enrichment, preventative care, and training.

Outside of work, you’ll find LiSA practicing agility with her Frenchie “LOiS”, Rally with her Great Dane “ERiS”, or on a hike or lure course with them both.  At home, LiSA enjoys bird watching with her cat “Friend”, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.

Melissa
Certified Veterinary Technician
Melissa has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2014 and has worked in various fields of veterinary medicine such as oncology, cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, emergency/critical care and surgical specialty practices.  However, her heart is in general practice where she can develop relationships and provide long term primary care for patients rather than transient specialty care.  Melissa has a special interest in dentistry and finds the before and after experience very rewarding.  She feels that animals are a gift and loves that she can play a part in helping them to live as long and as happy as possible.
Melissa is owned by 22, that’s right, TWENTY-TWO feathered (bird) babies of a variety of different species from lovebirds to conures, to cockatoos!  Talk about a full-time job!  She is also owned by a lionhead rabbit, named Bon Bon, whom she saved from being unwantedly euthanized.  In her free time, she enjoys camping with her husband, visiting with family, and crocheting.
